Larijani made the remarks in response to a reminder by Mohammad Reza Khabaz, an MP from Kashmar, northeast
Khabaz cited the Article 188 of the bylaw on introducing ministers to the parliament and pointed out, “The article reads introducing the minister (nominees) should be done in written text and the nominees’ résumés and plans should accompany the letter.”
Khabaz went on to criticize the government’s effort and asked, “How are we (the representatives) to vote for a person whose plans we know nothing of.”
Parliament is set to debate confidence vote on minister nominees on Tuesday.
The government submitted the nominees’ plans on Sunday with some delay.
President Mahmud Ahmadinejad, in a letter to Majlis last Tuesday, nominated Shamseddin Hosseini, Ali Kordan, and Hamid Behbahani for economy, interior, and transport ministers respectively.
